Dahlia Polka

I have a weak spot for Dahlias with this type of flower. These Dahlias, known as Anemone-flowered, have inviting, open-hearted blooms. While many Dahlias do their utmost to look as neat as possible with tightly formed flowers, these so-called Anemone-flowered varieties are freer and happier, more relaxed and cheerful. To dance the Polka with this Dahlia, the hedge doesn’t need to be trimmed so neatly, and tidy edges along the grass aren’t really necessary either. When the Polka blooms with her many cheerful flowers, it’s a party time in the garden, and no one pays too much attention to tidiness.
