Your Privacy is important to us here at Fluwel and we are compliant with all applicable privacy laws. This means you personal data is protected and used responsibly. In this privacy policy we will further explain how we use and store personal data collected thru our online shop. If you have any questions about our use of your data, please contact our customer service.
Use of Personal Data
When placing an order with our online shop, we receive the following data:
- Name and address
- Phone number
- Billing address
- Email address
- Payment details
- IP address
The applicable legislation refers to this information as ‘personal data’ and states that this information may only be used for legitimate reasons. Exactly what this entails will follow below.
We will not share your personal data with any third party, unless this is necessary to complete your order or if we are legally obliged to do so. For example, your data can be requested by the police in the event of suspected fraud.
Your Account
In order to use all the functions of our online shop, you must register first. This means you will need to provide personal information and choose a user name. We will use this data to create an account. You can then log into this account with your user name and a password of your choice. We will save this information so that you only need to log in once and so we can contact you if necessary for your online shopping experience.
We will keep this information so long as your account is active. You can use your account to edit your information whenever you like.
Completing Your Order
When you place an order, we will use your personal data to complete the order properly. This means that we will need to share data with our delivery service, so that they can deliver your order to your address. We will also receive payment details from your bank or credit card company. We will store this data as long as is needed to complete your order and until the warranty has expired. Some data must be kept longer for legal reasons. For example, we are required by Dutch tax authorities to store your proof of purchase and invoice for seven years.

You can stop this communication at any time. Each email contains a link to unsubscribe. You can also unfollow or block us on social media if you wish.
Contact Form and Newsletter
You can use our contact form to ask us questions or make requests. To use this form, you will need to provide certain information. We will store the provided data until we have responded and six months thereafter. This allows us to reference this information when answering any follow up questions you may have. We also use this data to train our customer service to become even better.
You can also subscribe to our newsletter to receive news, tips and information about our products and services. You can cancel your subscription at any time. Each newsletter contains a link to unsubscribe. You can also unsubscribe through your account settings. Your email address will only be added to our mailing list with your permission.
Disclosure to Third Parties
We will not share your personal data with other companies or institutions under any circumstance, except when necessary to complete your order or if we are legally required to do so (for example, if the police requests data in connection to a suspected crime).
Some of our partners are located outside the European Union. Our online shop contains social media buttons. These allow the administrators of these services to collect personal data.
Cookies
Our online shop uses cookies. Cookies are small files that allow us to store information so you don’t need to log in again each time you use our online shop. But they also allow us to see when you visit our site.
When you visit our website or online shop for the first time, you will see a notification with an explanation about cookies. Should you continue to use our site, we will assume that you have no objection to the use of cookies.
You can disable cookies through your browser, but this means some parts of our online shop will no longer work properly.

Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to track how our customers use our online shop. We have a data processing agreement with Google that contains strict rules pertaining to what they may track. We allow Google to use this information for other Google services. We do not require Google to anonymize IP addresses.
Trusted Shops
The Trusted Shops Trustbadge is integrated on this website to display our collected reviews as well as to offer Trusted Shops products to buyers after an order.
This is necessary to safeguard our legitimate prevailing interests in an optimal marketing by ensuring the safety of your purchase according to Article 6 (1) f GDPR. The Trustbadge and the services advertised with it are an offer of the Trusted Shops GmbH, Subbelrather Str. 15C, 50823 Cologne, _Germany. The Trustbadge is made available by a CDN provider (Content-Delivery-Network) as part of order processing. The Trusted Shops GmbH uses also service provider from the USA. When the Trustbadge is called up, the web server automatically saves a server log file which contains, for example, your IP address, the date and time of the call, the amount of data transferred and the requesting provider (access data) and documents the call. Individual access data are stored in a security database for the analysis of security problems. The log files are automatically deleted 90 days after creation at the latest.
Further personal data will be transferred to Trusted Shops GmbH if you decide to use Trusted Shops products after completing an order or have already registered for use. The contractual agreement made between you and Trusted Shops applies. For this purpose personal data is automatically collected from the order data. Whether or not you are already registered as a Trusted Shops customer is automatically checked by means of a neutral parameter, the e-mail address hashed by cryptological one-way function. The e-mail address is converted to this hash value, which cannot be decrypted by Trusted Shops before it is transmitted. After checking for a match, the parameter is deleted automatically.
This is necessary for the fulfillment of our and Trusted Shops' legitimate prevailing interests in the provision of the buyer protection linked to the specific order and the transactional review services in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 s. 1 lit. f GDPR. Changes to the Privacy Policy
When we make changes to our online shop, we will update our privacy policy at the same time. So always pay attention to the date at the top of this page and check back regularly for updates. We will do our best to announce changes separately.
