Peony Victoire de la Marne

There is some discussion about the color of this Peony. Some say she shows a hint of pink, while others see some sort of lilac purple. It is hard to keep track. Just like her name, the victory of the Marne… victory for whom exactly? But when it comes to color, she is a special Peony. I shot the ‘more purple’ picture in the evening sun around seven o’clock, while I shot the rest of the pictures during the day. Light intensity has a lot of impact on her appearance. What else is there to say about this Peony… well her name might be a bit off, she does not smell super good, but I still want to include her in our assortment. She is a good grower and a trustworthy floriferous Peony.
