Jacuzzi

What her name has to do with the Tulip itself I do not know. The grower must have thought that this name would make the Tulip successful, who doesn’t want a Jacuzzi in her garden.

Her name may be a bit dubious, the Tulip itself really isn’t. She has a bright, unique violet colour. She caught my eye right away when I saw her in the Poldertuin, but I was still a bit reluctant at first. Other Tulips with this colour can really discolour over time, sometimes even become unappealing. Jacuzzi does change colour while she is in bloom, but it is in a nice way: her violet changes to silver and she remains beautiful to the very last. Even when I brought Jacuzzi home when she had almost completely finished flowering I still received compliments about her.
