Peony Hillary (Itoh)

On the website of The American Peony Society, I have read that Hillary is a seedling of the Bartzella. Once you know this, you can see it. The entire plant is great, big, healthy, tough, and floriferous, just like Bartzella. The same goes for her flowers, which are also big but perhaps less double than the ones of her mother. But what Hillary does have that her mother does not, is a lovely color graduation during her bloom. Special about Hillary is that during her bloom her heart seems to turn fierier while the end of her petals are trying to look sweeter and softer. Hillary speaks from her heart.
