Amaryllis Evergreen

Green flowers have managed to conquer a special place in my heart over the years. I know, you expect a flower to have color, even if it is white or black, but still ... green flowers also have something. The modest and natural appearance has something beautiful.

Evergreen is a fast and energetic Amaryllis, as soon as you put her in the warmth she starts to grow. She is therefore very suitable to let bloom as a dry bulb. If you put a bulb in a deep vase or put three of them in a bowl, you will quickly be rewarded with her exotic flowers. With a small layer of water at the bottom of the vase or on the bowl, just enough to keep her roots wet, she will do a little better, but it is not really necessary.

Evergreen always blooms just as easily and her green flowers always amaze me with their enormous durability. Place her, when the stems are growing, in a good light. The fast-growing stems tend to grow in the direction of the light. Especially if they are against a dark wall they can become quite crooked. If they are in full light this is much less the case.

If you do see the stems growing crooked in the direction of the light, turn the pot half a turn every few days so that they start growing in the other direction again.
